Farrier RJ Goff shoes a horse using the hot shoeing technique at Vixen Trail Farm in Castle Hayne, N.C After his career as a rodeo bareback bronco rider ended in the ‘70s, Ritner Goff started shoeing horses. Jump ahead to present day and he recently marked his 25th year as a certified farrier. His son, RJ Goff, also earned his certification from the American Farrier Association. He has been working with the business for the past eight years. “He grew up in the font seat of a horse shoeing rig,” Ritner Goff said.
